Haircuts for Thick Curly Hair

Finding suitable haircuts for thick curly hair can be a challenge. If curly hair was not difficult enough to manage at the best of times, then having thick hair that is also naturally curly presents some special challenges. However you can certainly learn to manage your hair properly and make the most of it: having naturally thick hair means that you can get away with some very unique styles that others would be envious of.

Because it is easy to damage curly hair, you must look after it properly. don’t use cheap and nasty products and always use a brush that is specifically designed for your hair type. Using a straight hair brush will only spell disaster for you.

Add Texture
When you have natural curls you should make them stand out. Give them texture and you’ll instantly get that classical and eloquent look that others can only dream of.

Frizz and Split Ends
Curly hair is a little more likeyl to get split ends and frizz but this is easy to take care of once you know how:

1. Wash once or twice weekly at the most
2. Don’t use dehydrating products
3. Don’t use a regular brush or comb: you need thicker teeth gaps.

Your thick hair will need some smoothing conditioner and shampoo so that your hair does not frizz. You can try styles like:

Straightening
Many people with curly hair will try and strateighten it with a flat iron. This is possible to do but consider whether you really want this look: after all, your curls are naturlaly beaitiful and there are so many styles you can experiment with.
