Curly Hair Tips – Managing Curly Hair
Curly Hair Tips – Managing Curly Hair
If you have curly hair then you will be well aware that managing it can often be a little tedious and difficult. I am going to run through some basic curly hair tips that will help you to take control of your hair, and gain the skills needed to style it as you want, when you want.
Shampoo
The shampoo you use will determine greatly the quality of your hair and thus, what sort of styles you will be able to do with it.
Make sure your shampoo is not too harsh. You don’t want something that is going to strip the oils from your hair. Whilst oily hair is not desirable, there are some essential oils that you must leave intact.
You will want to ensure that your hair retains some moisture, because if it is dry you are going to have a hard time styling it at all. Another point to remember when choosing a shampoo is how it manages frizz: a common problem for people with curly hair.
Straightening
Many people with curly hair choose to straighten it much of the time. While this is a viable option, it defeats the purpose of being a proud curly-haired person!
Brushing
You don’t want to brush your curly hair too often as every time you brush you are spreading oils from your scalp through your hair. For most people, besides those with very dry hair, this can be more of a curse than a blessing.
These curly hair tips should give you a basic grounding in how to manage your hair.
Having curly hair does not mean you have to be restricted in how you can style it. It does not have to be a burden and remember that your hair is unique and you are not limited with what you can do with it!
